How to never miss the best flight deals

Already at the outset, I will write that it is a very extensive subject, from which I tried to draw at least a little to bring people interested in the subject of traveling for little money.

The very process finding online shopping deals and buying an airline ticket is not very complicated, but hunting it at a good price is a bit more difficult. First of all, we need to know which lines to look for promotional offers. Here are some low-cost carriers in Europe:

  • Ryanair,
  • Wizzair,
  • EasyJet,

Flying for little money is pleasant and comfortable for our portfolio, but involves a lot of risk in unusual situations. It is worth mentioning them: the canceled flight, the need to change the date of travel, the name of the passenger, is one of many circumstances that can happen to us.

Pros of traveling with low-cost airlines:

  • low ticket prices,
  • a large number of ticket promotions,
  •  the majority of low-cost airlines support point-to-point connections.

Cons of travel deals cheap flights:

  • Airports serving low-cost carriers are usually located on the outskirts of big cities, eg Beauvais-Tille airport, also known as Paris-Beauvais, has little to do with Paris. It lies about 90 km to the north.
  • extra pay for checked baggage may sometimes exceed the price of a return ticket.
  • payment for changes in the ticket: departure dates, arrival dates, passenger names
  • no free meals and drinks onboard the aircraft.
  • a low frequency of flights: if our flight is canceled, the next one may be in 3-4 days.
  • no privileges in the form of the possibility of using at the airports from the “Business Lounge”.
  • for some carriers, such as Ryanair, Wizzair, if we forget to check-in before the flight, an additional, considerable fee will be charged at the airport.

Of the five low-cost carriers, the most popular on our market are Ryanair and Wizzair. I had the opportunity to fly them many times.

Online shopping deals – Wizzair or Ryanair?

Although both lines are considered low-cost, in my opinion, Ryanair wins in terms of deals for cheap flights. Why?

  • in general, offers lower prices,
  • Ryanair offers much more flight directions,
  • it does much more ticket promotions, sales eg Black Friday,
  • if we fly somewhere for a short time or just enough to pack in the hand luggage of dimensions 55x40x20. At Ryanair, we have it at the price of the ticket, and at Wizzair it is additionally payable.
  • Ryanair’s website is more friendly to search for cheap calls.

What is the price of air tickets depending on?

The price of airline tickets depends on many factors. I am not able to list all of them (probably I do not know all of them), but from practice, I will cite a few of them:

  • choosing an airline
You do not need to write a lot here :). We choose the carrier from the upper or lower shelf ourselves.
  • central airport or on the outskirts
If in a given city, such as Paris, London, we have more than 1 airport, tickets for flights to central ports will be more expensive than to those on the outskirts.
  • date of purchase of the ticket
The sooner we buy a ticket, generally, we will pay less for it. The closer to the departure date, the more expensive tickets are.
  • departure date
In most cases, weekend tickets are more expensive. That is, we will pay less for departure on Tuesday than on Friday and thus, we will pay less for returning on Wednesday than on Sunday.
  • pool of tickets
If we have 189 seats on the plane, as in the case of Ryanair, the first tickets sold for this cruise will be at the most attractive price for us.
  • number of places “remaining for the price of X”
When booking tickets next to the price, you may receive the message “3 last places for the price”. I am not entirely convinced that on the pages of all lines, this is actually true. On the Ryanair and Lufthansa website, no doubt this information is true, as I have seen myself. After buying two or three tickets at the “last” promotional price, another was already a few pounds more expensive.

That’s all I can think of, and I suppose that these factors can be much more.
